I am not sure why people even need to ask this question in this day and age, the answer is obviously YES!

I have looked at enough maps in my time to logically come to this conclusion.

And if you have ever tried to wrap a flat rectangular map onto a round sphere with your own hands without altering their shapes you will know that it would never fit perfectly enough to be true, globes are a myth and most likely AI generated.
